Oh, the font looks similar to reddit so it threw me off.
That makes the situation even more sad somehow, that he had to vent to his computer hardware buddies on his computer hardware forum.
Since you mentioned EVGA forums... maybe you can help me. I’m thinking of buying an EVGA GTX1060 for my next build. Am I being stupid by buying the “new card”? Should I just get a 960? I run a 660 now and while SC2 is fine, it just isn’t cutting it on Overwatch.

Normally, I’d say it’s up to you but at this point, the Pascal-era cards are beginning to show their worth so I’d say it’s best to get the EVGA 1060 or 1070, if possible. A 960 is fine, don’t get me wrong, but at this point, you’re better off with the 10 series.

Communication. Communication was lacking here. Dude missed his chance for anything positive out of this. Don’t need to sound the alarms every time you glance at someone you find attractive but maybe saying something to his wife earlier would’ve stopped all this a while ago. She probably would’ve understood and helped him out to avoid excessively awkward situations. Everyone is on the same page and then bam, no more problem.
....on the other end of the spectrum he might’ve ended up with a wife approved girlfriend. Who knows? Maybe it was the wife’s plan all along and her friend just needed some male company that didn’t suck. But if that was the case (and it’s a long shot) that ship sailed a long, long time ago from the sounds of it.

This dude has the emotional maturity of a gnat. I also found it weird that his wife looks after, quote, “my four children”. Are they his children from a different mother, or has he simply forgotten they are “our” children.
And seriously, there’s nothing wrong with visual browsing, but if you can’t get over crushes at that point in your life, you really need to grow up. Also the whole “I’m not worthy of my wife” trope bugs me in general. Work harder at it then. It’s an excuse to be lazy.
